MatchCorner was founded as a Facebook page in 2020 by a small group of football enthusiasts.

We wanted to establish a safe harbor for truthful football information, during the rising tide of sensationalism and misinformation.  While many mainstream medias just want to generate quick clicks, we always strive to filter out the best sources from the rest. Whether that be breaking news, livescore results, or player statistics, we always aim to provide our community with top-tier genuinely useful information.

After all, MatchCorner's motto has always been: The Quickest and Most Reliable Football Updates.

Our efforts were instantly repaid by our incredible community, which grew almost exponentially year-on-year. Support was so overwhelming that we were prompted to open up a second page in 2023 to keep up with demand for content. As of April 2025, our two Facebook pages connect well over 2 million people together, and this is just the beginning.

Now, we have decided to take our project a step further, and so we are proud to announce the creation of this new website: MatchCorner.live. Our website is a mix between a football blog, a news site and a livescore platform. We hope that it will provide you with the best information and discussion opportunities which you have long been asking for. Since this is our first rodeo, we are still experimenting with many features, so you can expect periodic updates and exciting additions to the website coming very soon.
